NSA Reminds Contractors: STFU!

(Null&Void) – Check out the lastest NSA ‘Big Brother’ project here. Big Brother is watching you.

There’s no doubt that the big boys are sweating. Some even claim that the American people have “awakened”, though I’ve yet to notice. One thing is certain: with the massive migration of the population to the internet and alternative sources for news and other vital information, the war on for your mind becomes much more complicated. Your free access to a virtually unlimited domain of knowledge presents a major problem to the ’systemetizers’ and control freaks of the world. This is exactly why we are seeing so much freaky spazzed-out control-freak legislation to dictate news, internet, television, entertainment output. Large demographics of the population being exposed to alternative thoughts and presentation has led, admittedly, to some – to use poorly chosen words – ’shift in consciousness’ (to be associated with groups such as The Tea Party Movement). Thanks to the internet, advanced communications technology and technology in general, its become a lot easier to keep and disseminate ‘alternative’ ideas. As more shit hits the fan, this is exactly what the elite can’t have. They’re shifting the operation into overdrive and that means more active legislation, faster. And now that its easier for the word to be spread, for whistles to blow (and not just their tooting horns), any inkling of a ‘mass awakening’ poses a threat to operations. Continue reading

4th of July: From Celebration of Independence to Acceptance of Slavery?

Fireworks remain the symbol of neverending war while we sing the anthem of death and destruction.
(KennySideShow) – It can be argued that the American war of independence against the British was the last just war in our history. You could add the War of 1812 when the English and European bankers took a stab at regaining central control but that’s it. We as a country were never threatened by external forces beyond that point. The threats were always internal. Bankers, corporations, corrupt politicians and their willing allies who hoped to gain favor and profit rigged the system.

Some will continue to say that the Civil War, WWI and the ‘good war’ WWII had to be fought to preserve our freedom. The only freedom won in these conflicts was for the few to be able to count their money unhindered and to impose taxes and fear on the ‘small people.’ Continue reading

Americans Have No Rights

(Uruknet) – Under Barack Obama, the former professor of constitutional law, Americans’ civil liberties have shrunken drastically – to the point that his administration claims the right to execute its citizens without charge or due process of any recognizable kind. And citizens that leave the country cannot be sure they will be allowed back in. But where is the outrage among Democrats, when Obama out-Bushes Bush? “It seems that Democrats did not in fact feel any affront to Bush policies, only to his party affiliation.”

The administration admits to targeting “dozens” of other Americans for death.”

Americans no longer have any rights which their government need respect. The onslaught against civil liberties and human rights may have begun under the Bush administration, but it has been perfected under the Obama regime with the complete and unqualified support of the congressional Democratic majority. Any outrage about the ever-tightening grip of executive authority is reserved for presidents with the letter R after their names. Continue reading

MSM: Jefferson changed ‘subjects’ to ‘citizens’ in Declaration of Independence

(WashingtonPost) – “Subjects.”

That’s what Thomas Jefferson first wrote in an early draft of the Declaration of Independence to describe the people of the 13 colonies.

But in a moment when history took a sharp turn, Jefferson sought quite methodically to expunge the word, to wipe it out of existence and write over it. Many words were crossed out and replaced in the draft, but only one was obliterated.

Over the smudge, Jefferson then wrote the word “citizens.”

No longer subjects to the crown, the colonists became something different: a people whose allegiance was to one another, not to a faraway monarch. Continue reading

(GlobalResearch) – Obama’s New Iran Sanctions: An Act of War – Shamus Cooke

When the UN refused to agree to the severe sanctions that the U.S. wanted, Obama responded with typical Bush flair and went solo. The new U.S. sanctions against Iran — signed into law by Obama on July 1st — are an unmistakable act of war.

If fully enforced, Iran’s economy will be potentially destroyed. The New York Times outlines the central parts of the sanctions: Read More Here

(FPIF) – Move the Money, Starve the Empire

Just as money for jobs, health care, education, and housing is going from taxpayer pockets to feed the military-industrial complex, so is the money for foreign military operations being used to displace farmers and indigenous people in every region of the world. Members of the No U.S. Bases movement described how the over 700 U.S. bases around the world have become sites of conflict between American soldiers and the local population. Meanwhile, the United States continues to expropriate land from farmers and indigenous people to expand or build new bases. Read More Here

(ProjectCensored) – Managed News: Inside The US/NATO Military Industrial Media Empire – Prof. Peter Phillips and Prof. Mickey Huff

We face what appears to be a military industrial media empire so powerful and complex that truth is mostly absent or reported in disconnected segments with little historical context. A case in point: The London Times reported on June 5, 2010, that American troops are now operating in 75 countries. Has President Obama secretly sanctioned a huge increase in the number of US Special Forces carrying out search-and-destroy missions against al-Qaeda around the world? If so, this increase is far in excess of special-forces operations under the Bush administration and reflects how aggressively Obama is pursuing al-Qaeda behind his public rhetoric of global engagement and diplomacy. Somehow this information didn’t make it into the US media. Read More Here

(Haaretz) – Israel can’t be trusted to probe Gaza flotilla raid, say Rachel Corrie’s parents

In the letter obtained by Haaretz, Cindy and Craig Corrie referred to the May 31 raid of the Gaza flotilla which resulted in the deaths of 9 activists, saying they wished to express their “continuing sorrow and outrage over the recent killings and injuries aboard the Mavi Marmara and other vessels that sailed with the Freedom Flotilla to break the siege of Gaza.”

“We write also to inform you,” the Corrie family added, “of the longstanding, U. S. government position that Israel has failed to conduct a thorough, credible and transparent investigation into our daughter’s killing and that after repeated attempts at the highest levels, U.S. officials have been unable to secure such an investigation.” Read More Here

(Telegraph) – The latest threat to the global recovery: state capitalism

Stated in one bald paragraph it sounds a little apocalyptic. But Ian Bremmer, the highly respected author who is president of the Eurasia Group in the United States, makes a compelling case. The financial crisis has left Western capitalism nervous and risk averse, constantly under attack from a body politic keen to take advantage of public anger over the events of 2007 and 2008. Issues like the control of the banking system, remuneration and the failure of so much of the financial sector, whether Northern Rock, Lehman Brothers, AIG or Royal Bank of Scotland, has created a fundamental crisis in confidence. (OEN) – Can it rain oily compounds in the Gulf of Mexico? Yes! Chris Landau geologist & meteorologist

Do not let your kids eat the hail or drink the rainwater. It is likely to contain some benzene and cyclohexane. Can it rain oily compounds? The short answer is it certainly can. It is also not complex to work out which chemical compounds will be coming down in our rainwater. It is those with a similar boiling point and freezing point to water. It is those that are not too heavy, that are similar to that of air at 1.2 kg per cubic meter. They should be able to rise easily to upper atmospheric levels. Read More Here
