Ignorance Is Bliss – Peter Schiff

(C4L) – While all the talk at present is about economic corners turned and markets charging ahead, no one is paying much notice to an American economy deteriorating before our eyes. These myopic commentators seem to be simply moving past the now almost-universally held conclusion that before the crash of 2008, our economy was on an unsustainable course. If these imbalances had been corrected, then perhaps I too would be joining in the euphoria. But evidence abounds that we have not veered at all from that dangerous path. Continue reading

Allegory Of The Cave: Meet Your Puppet-Handlers

Plato’s ‘The Allegory of the Cave‘ is from book VI of his most famous work, The Republic. He begins ‘The Allegory‘ by describing a dark cave found underground where a group of people are sitting in ‘one long row with their backs to the cave’s entrance’. They are chained to their chairs from an early age and all that the humans can see is the distant cave wall in front of them. Their view of reality is completely based upon this limited view of the cave which but an unenlightened view of the real world. Continue reading

We Have the Moral High Ground – Cindy Sheehan

“Hate begets hate; violence begets violence; toughness begets a greater toughness. We must meet the forces of hate with the power of love…” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 1958
“There comes a time when silence is betrayal…” Dr. King, 1967

I remember back in the good ol’ days of 2005 and 2006 when being against the wars was not only politically correct, but it was very popular. I remember receiving dozens of awards, uncountable accolades and even was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Continue reading

How Apathy Will Destroy America

“By far the most dangerous foe we have to fight is apathy – indifference from whatever cause, not from a lack of knowledge, but from carelessness, from absorption in other pursuits, from a contempt bred of self satisfaction”
-William Osler Continue reading

Ignorance in America

Ignorance is pervasive in America; it affects the rich as well as the poor, the powerful and the powerless, the famous as well as the obscure. It’s prevalent in the suites of our nation’s CEOs, the Congress, the military, and even our universities. It defines this nation. Continue reading

Ignorance for Dummies

Ignorance is bliss as it is seemingly better to not want to know. You see, if people really knew the depth of the rat hole into which we’ve descended, maybe they might have to take action or even consider putting a few cases of bottled water in the closet before the hurricane hits. But no, they don’t want to know, and if you try to warn them it will fall on deaf ears because God will save them as their faith in Jesus is all they need. Continue reading

Ignorance is Strength – Paul Craig Roberts

The American media’s one-sided and propagandistic coverage of the Iranian election has made an American hero out of the defeated candidate, Mousavi. Continue reading

A Meditation on Our Monetary System: State of Permanent Siege

THE LEVEL OF PUBLIC IGNORANCE on the topic of the U.S. and world monetary system is astonishing. This is part of the plan, of course, because the monetary elite control not only the financial system but also the news media, the publishing industry, and the educational system. Continue reading

The New World Order of the People (Part 3 of 4)

Life is to Beautiful to Waste

So now we must ask ourselves, with this awareness and this anger what do we do? Do I attack and lash out physically to the slave masters? Do I think there is no hope and no future for humanity and allow my anger to turn into depression and resentment? Continue reading

Pain and Conscience

Were we on the receiving end of our government’s foreign policies, we would have a very different perception of them. But like wrapped meat in the grocery store, we do not see the pain and the blood—or the suffering. So for many people it is not real; it is not happening…but it is. Continue reading
