Who will take out the garbage if our courts of justice won’t punish war crimes?

Millions would love to see the present crop of war criminals dangling from lamp-posts.

But somebody called “Ellie” writing on Medialens has put a damper on this happy prospect. She explained the difficulties in bringing the scum to book. One of the things the British government wants to do, she said, is “stop the possibility of private prosecutions for (international) crimes committed by foreign nationals, so that friendly war criminals can continue to sup tea in Buckingham Palace”.

Unfortunately crimes that can supposedly be tackled under universal jurisdiction are limited and don’t include waging a war of aggression (although they do include war crimes in general), “so we can’t get anywhere with this charge (e.g. against Bush) in a domestic court”. Continue reading

Sen. DeMint Ratifying U.N. Children’s Rights Treaty Would Turn Parental Rights ‘Over to International Community’

(CNS) – Sen. Jim DeMint (R- S.C.) said that if President Barack Obama gets his way and the Senate ratifies the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the precedent would be set to place parental rights under the jurisdiction of the international community.

“We believe we need to take clear action here in Congress to protect the rights of parents to raise their children,” DeMint said at a Wednesday panel discussion. “This treaty would, in fact, establish a precedent that those rights have been given over to the international community.”

DeMint is lead sponsor of  S. Res. 519, a resolution to protect parental rights, which is co-sponsored by 30 senators total. Only four more senators need to sign on to inform President Obama that he does not have enough votes in the Senate to ratify the treaty, DeMint said.

DeMint has also introduced a joint resolution, proposing a constitutional amendment to protect parental rights.

Under Article 2, Section 2 of the U. S. Constitution, treaties must be approved by a two-thirds majority of the Senate for them to take effect. Full article here

(CommonDreams) – IAEA Conceals Evidence Iran Documents Were Forged

The International Atomic Energy Agency says its present objective regarding Iran is to try to determine whether the intelligence documents purportedly showing a covert Iranian nuclear weapons programme from 2001 to 2003 are authentic or not. The problem, according to its reports, is that Iran refuses to help clarify the issue.

But the IAEA has refused to acknowledge publicly significant evidence brought to its attention by Iran that the documents were fabricated, and has made little, if any, effort to test the authenticity of the intelligence documents or to question officials of the governments holding them, IPS has learned. Video: Coast to Coast AM with Jim Marrs

Author and investigative journalist Jim Marrs talked about why he believes the International Elite are using economic collapse, man-made disease, and erosion of civil liberties to take down America. He referred to the US as a “zombie nation” because citizens and the country itself are trillions of dollars in debt. JFK ended up dead not longer after he issued $4.2 billion in currency that was printed by the Treasury instead of the Federal Reserve (in reality, a group of 12 banks that charge interest), he noted.

“They’re setting us up for a really big fall– because the United States has been a free nation and a republic,” and the biggest stumbling block to their plan for a New World Order– a global socialist state broken into three economic blocks (as George Orwell predicted in 1984), Marrs laid out. Rather than conservatives or liberals, Democrats or Republicans, he said the Global Elite is made up of various wealthy individuals– many Cabinet members of the last four administrations have been members of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), he added.
