FCC Talks Up Sovietization of Media

(KurtNimmo) – The Federal Trade Commission has released a plan dubbed “Potential Policy Recommendations to Support the Reinvention of Journalism.” It is nothing if not a government plan to sovietize media in the United States.

The Obama commissariat offer big ideas on how to “re-invent” media that is flagging due to the fact the corporatists insist on embracing a dinosaur business model that worked fine in 1950 but has spelled disaster and bankruptcy in 2010. Government is also worried about the fact millions of people are tuning out of the corporate media wavelength in favor of a dynamic medium on the internet where corporate domination — and government propaganda — is nearly impossible. Paid Lying – What Passes For Major Media Journalism – Stephen Lendman

The enemies of freedom have standard weapons at their disposal that they have used throughout history.  These principally include propaganda, whatever high technology of the time period (including science and medicine), legislative bodies cooperating with their agenda, and enforcers willing to enslave their own people.  Many tyrannies of the past came in full force without much subtlety.  What we see today, however, is a carefully measured, softer approach that is aided by advanced knowledge in social engineering and mass manipulation. How the CIA Handles the US Media

The reliance on anonymous CIA sources from the clandestine community does not make for good reporting or good journalism, notes Melvin A. Goodman.

On Jan. 7, the Washington Post published a front-page lead article and an op-ed on the nomination of Leon Panetta as CIA director; both articles exaggerated the extent of opposition to the Panetta appointment and they demonstrated the weakness of mainstream media coverage of the intelligence community, particularly the Central Intelligence Agency.
