Video: Fox News Makes Excuse for CIA’s Afghan Opium Cultivation

(KurtNimmo) – In an amazing propaganda segment, Fox News’ Gerald Rivera talks with an occupation soldier about U.S. support of the opium trade in Afghanistan. The soldier tells Rivera he does not like supporting Afghan opium production. The U.S., he insists, has turned a blind eye to the cultivation because it is a cultural thing. (Uruknet) – Democracy and depleted uranium

When my sister, 101st Airborne Army Capt. Chaplain Fran E. Stuart, returned from Iraq, she was forever changed.

Not only had the desert sand, gun blasts and heat penetrated her psyche during her one-year deployment, but a carcinogen had made its way into her body as well. Unbeknown to her, the carcinogen was making a home in my sister’s body, along with the Anthrax vaccine, depleted uranium, burn pit smoke and contaminated water dished up at every meal. NATO Waging Undeclared War on Russia: Moscow

(PressTV) – ‘Moscow says the United States and NATO’s inaction in fighting drug trafficking in Afghanistan, translates into an “undeclared war” against Russia. US and GB refuse discussion of Afghanistan’s opium problem during conference

Like every other Afghanistan conference, this latest held January 28 in London failed to address the country’s opium problem.
More than 70 countries and international organizations met in London and declared the goals of creating “a more stable and secure Afghanistan,” transferring power to the Afghan government, and reintegrating “those who renounce violence, cut links to terrorism and agree to work within the democratic process” into Afghan society.
While failing to touch upon one of the very most central issues affecting all the others- the opium production and the corruption that surrounds it. Continue reading

U.S. Drug Laws and the System of Control – Sean Sailor

The Audacity of Ethnic Cleansing – Obama’s plan for Afghanistan

“Today, we Afghans remain trapped between two enemies: the Taliban on one side and US/NATO forces and their warlord hirelings on the other.” Malalai Joya “A Woman Among the Warlords” Scribner Publishing, New York
The Bush administration never had any intention of liberating Afghanistan or establishing democracy. The real aim was to remove the politically-intractable Taliban and replace them with a puppet regime run by a former-CIA asset. The rest of Afghanistan would be parceled-off to the warlords who assisted in the invasion and who had agreed to do much of the United States dirty-work on the ground. In the eight years of military occupation which followed, that basic strategy has never changed. The U.S. is just as committed now as it was at the war’s inception to establish a beachhead in Central Asia to oversee the growth of China, to execute disruptive/covert operations against Russia, to control vital pipeline routes from the Caspian Basin, and to maintain a heavy military presence in the most critical geopolitical area in the world today. U.S. Wars and the Opium Trade

When Turkey in the late 1940s became a site of NATO and US forces its rank became cemented as the number one supplier of opium to the heroin markets of the US and Europe. This illegal opium market was primarily centered in Europe, where the final processing into heroin was done before going on to the market for the rest of the world. Its profits were therefore also made largely by Europeans. In 1968 research ordered by the Nixon Administration revealed that this Turkish opium crop supplied 80% of the opium destined to become heroin for the illegal markets of Europe and the US .(1) Continue reading
