(Infowars) – The United States is running out of time to get its budget and trade deficits under control. Despite the urgency of the situation, 2010 has been wasted in hype about a non-existent recovery. As recently as August 2 Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner penned a New York Times column, “Welcome to the Recovery.”
As John Williams (shadowstats.com) has made clear on many occasions, an appearance of recovery was created by over-counting employment and undercounting inflation. Warnings by Williams, Gerald Celente, and myself have gone unheeded, but our warnings recently had echoes from Boston University professor Laurence Kotlikoff and from David Stockman, who excoriated the Republican Party for becoming big-spending Democrats Continue reading →
(SMH) – FIGHTING home-grown terrorism by monitoring internet communications is a civil liberties trade-off the US government must make to beef up national security, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said.
As terrorists increasingly recruit US citizens, the government needs to balance civil rights and privacy with the need to keep people safe, she said. But finding that balance has become more complex as people have used the internet to reach out to extremists abroad for inspiration and training. Those contacts have spurred a recent rash of US-based terrorism incidents.
Ms Napolitano said it was wrong to believe liberty was sacrificed if security was embraced, and pointed to restrictions on full-body scanners at airports to protect privacy. – Source: SMH
(PaulWatson) – Former NATO Secretary-General and Bilderberg member Willy Claes has confounded claims by debunkers that the secret organization which met in Sitges Spain over the last few days does not set policy, admitting during a Belgian radio interview that Bilderberg attendees are mandated to implement decisions that are formulated during the annual conference of power brokers.
(Infowars) – In Jason Bermas’ film “Invisible Empire: A New World Order Defined”, the concept of one world government has been definitively elaborated upon, its long-term objectives explained in detail. One of the chief proponents of the destruction of national sovereignty appearing in the documentary, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, has been heard on countless occasions quite openly calling for the emergence of the New World Order. Of course a child knows that in order to bring about a new structure, one has to first tear down the old one. Continue reading →
(Infowars) – According to declassified documents released by the National Security Archive today, former secretary of state and longtime Bilderberger Henry Kissinger rescinded instructions that would have prevented one of the worst terrorist attacks on US soil before September 11, 2001, from occurring. (AbelDanger) – General Leonid Ivashov was the chief of the department for General affairs in the Soviet Union’s ministry of Defense, secretary of the Council of defense ministers of the Community of independant states (CIS), chief of the Military cooperation department at the Russian federation’s Ministry of defense and Joint chief of staff of the Russian armies.
He was the Chief of Staff of the Russian armed forces when the September 11, 2001, attacks took place. He offers his analysis that international terrorism does not exist and that the September 11 attacks were the result of a set-up. What we are seeing is a manipulation by the big powers—this terrorism would not exist without them. Continue reading →
(Telegraph) – It looks as if the tottering IPCC has just made its biggest mistake yet. Twenty-four hours after the announcement of an “independent” inquiry into certain aspects of its activities it is possible to make a considered assessment of its significance. By any reasoned analysis, it is not only a whitewash but one in which the paint is spread so thinly as to be transparent. Continue reading →
(AaronDykes) – Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner made an appearance alongside IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman at the Joe Stack crash site in Austin, Texas. Their purpose was straightforward– to grandstand over an attack on a government agency and to set the scene for demonizing “anti-government beliefs.” Continue reading →

(Telegraph) – Poor Gordon Brown. As if allegations of abuse of staff and the reported intervention of Cabinet Secretary Sir Gus O’Donnell in employee relations weren’t enough to contend with, the Prime Minister has now been compared to Adolf Hitler. Continue reading →
(AP) – Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says terrorists who are U.S. citizens or live in the country legally and plot against the U.S. are just as big of a concern as international terrorists. Continue reading →
(PressTV) – Iran on Tuesday dismissed remarks by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who claimed the country was drifting toward a military dictatorship before the world’s eyes. “That is how we see it,” Mrs. Clinton said in a televised meeting of students at a university in Doha, Qatar. “We see that the government of Iran — the supreme leader, the president, the parliament — is being supplanted and that Iran is moving toward a military dictatorship.” Continue reading →

(Reuters) – Iran has rejected Western overtures and the international community has no choice but to move toward imposing new sanctions over its nuclear program, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Monday. “We must still try and find a peaceful way to resolve this issue. The only path that is left to us at this point, it seems to me, is that pressure track but it will require all of the international community to work together,” Gates said at a joint news conference with French Defense Minister Herve Morin.
Rumor has it that Timothy Geithner is on his way out as Treasury Secretary, due to his involvement in the AIG scandal that is now unraveling in hearings before the House Oversight and Reform Committee. Bob Chapman writes in The International Forecaster:
Each day brings more revelations of efforts of the NY Fed and Goldman Sachs to hide the details of the criminal conspiracy of the AIG bailout. . . . This is a real crisis on the scale of Watergate. Corruption at its finest.
(PalTelegraph) – Why in a period of only two days has the security level been upgraded from Substantial (an attack is a strong possibility) to Severe (an attack is highly likely) even though our Home Secretary stressed that there was no intelligence suggesting an attack is imminent. It’s all down to the four P’s Pursue, Prevent, Protect, and Prepare or should that read Panic People and Prevent Privacy? Continue reading →
The U.S. has weapons of mass destruction that can WIPE OUT the planet earth and Haiti is just the beginning. When you see destruction in Iran, Velenzuela and Cuba soon then don’t be surprised why. Continue reading →
(TheGuardian) – Let me recap. Six months ago I reviewed the latest bit of terrorism to emerge from the government’s Cobra bunker, courtesy of Alan Johnson, home secretary. Swine flu was allegedly ravaging the nation. The BBC was intoning nightly statistics on what “could” happen as “the deadly virus” took hold. The chief medical officer, Sir Liam Donaldson, bandied about any figure that came into his head, settling on “65,000 could die”, peaking at 350 corpses a day. Continue reading →
Last week it was revealed that when Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner was Chairman of the New York Federal Reserve, he urged AIG officials not to disclose to the Securities Exchange Commission relevant details of agreements with banks to bail out Goldman Sachs. Apparently he felt at the time that regulators and the public would be angry that taxpayer money was used to fully compensate bankers who made some horrifically bad investment decisions. These banks should have suffered the consequences of the huge risks they were taking. After all, they kept plenty of rewards when times were good. Instead, the Fed found a way to socialize these major losses so these banks could survive and continue making more bad decisions, at the expense of the American people and the value of the dollar. Continue reading →
(PaulWatson) – Congressman Ron Paul has called for Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to be fired for his involvement in the AIG bailout scandal, adding that the fiasco proves the Fed should be stripped of its powers and audited. Continue reading →

Bloomberg reportsthat Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner’s closest aides earned millions of dollars a year working for Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and other Wall Street firms. Bloomberg reports that none of these aides faced Senate confirmation. Yet, they are overseeing the handout of hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer funds to their former employers.Continue reading →
In a new report, Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP), reveals that then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and key federal regulators forced the nation’s nine largest financial institutions to take billions in taxpayer bailout dollars in October 2008, threatening that if the banks refused, the government would take their stock shares anyway. (WATimes) – Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke and former Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr. misled the public about the financial weakness of Bank of America and other early recipients of the government’s $700 billion Wall Street bailout, creating “unrealistic expectations” about the companies and damaging the program’s credibility, according to a report by the program’s independent watchdog. (Google) – Finance ministers from the Group of Seven rich countries warned the recovery remains “fragile” and tried to talk up the U.S. dollar amid fears it could fall farther and disrupt the global economy. Continue reading →
Congress and the White House have been busy lately patting themselves on the back for staving off financial armageddon by handing out taxpayer money to Wall Street like it was Halloween candy. But while they’re trumpeting the fact that some financial firms have returned a tiny portion of the trillions of dollars that were given to banks, reality is setting in that Americans will never see that money again and will be paying it off for many, many years to come. Continue reading →
So now it turns out that the whole Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) was a flop or more likely a scam. Remember Bush Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson telling us last September that credit markets had locked up, and then, after half of the $750 billion that he extorted out of Congress was handed out to Wall Street firms, new President Barack Obama justifying the spending of the second half of the money because we needed to “get the banks lending again”?
