Private Contractors that routinely torture Iraqi prisoners are not subject to arrest or court martial by the coalition command. The military leaves it up to the companies to take disciplinary action. These contractors operate directly under Mossad intelligence and follow their policies on torture. The soldiers that are up for court martial have been made to be accomplises but are not the main culprits in the scandal. The private contractors working for the Mossad and the Mossad ‘advisors’ should also be on trial along with the leaders of the military at the highest level, including the Commander and Chief. –Webber
Pictures from an Inquisition by Jeff Sharlet – A crucial element of torture is humiliation. The fact of the victim’s powerlessness must be impressed upon his psyche. Laughter is an effective tool, as demonstrated by this Inquisitor, 21-year-old Private Lynndie England, [Pictured above] of Ft. Ashby, W. Virginia. And genitals are often the focus of attention. Private England, since transferred back to the U.S., where she is expecting the child of Specialist Charles W. Graner (who also appears in the pictures), is here forcing the prisoners to masturbate — a tactic proposed by her superiors in Military Intelligence to insult the prisoner’s Islamic sensibilities and thus break his will through sexual shame.

Fallujah: History in the making – Who knows what the Americans will get up to during their bloody and violent onslaught. This Is The Cost Of Blair’s ‘Moral’ War By John Pilger
March 13, 2003: This week, the [British] Ministry of Defense said: “We never target civilians [in the no-fly zones]… there’s no evidence of civilian casualties.”
The lie of this statement would be breathtaking were it not routine.
In northern Kurdish Iraq, I interviewed members of one family who had lost their grandfather, their father and four brothers and sisters when a “coalition” aircraft (British or American) dive-bombed them and the sheep they were tending. It was open desert, a moonscape with not a sign of other life, let alone a military installation. Amid the carcasses of blasted sheep were pieces of clothing and a single shoe.
The attack was investigated and verified by the chief United Nations representative in Iraq at the time, Hans Von Sponeck, who drove there especially from Baghdad. His findings are listed among dozens of similar attacks – on shepherds, farmers, fishermen – in a document prepared by the United Nations Security Section.
At a windswept cemetery near the town of Mosul, I caught sight of the shepherd’s widow as she grieved for her husband and four children. “I want to see the pilot who did this,” she shouted.
LAST week, [Week of March 9th, 2003] “coalition” aircraft killed another six people in the southern city of Basra. Nothing unusual there. When I was last in Basra, an American missile killed six children when it “mistakenly” hit Al Jumohria, a very poor section of Basra’s residential area.
I walked down the street where the missile had struck in the early hours; it had followed the line of houses, destroying one after the other. I met the father of two sisters, aged eight and 10, who were photographed by a local weddings photographer, Nabil al-Jerani, shortly after the attack. Their bodies were unlike the other four children, who were blown to bits, their limbs and flesh in the overhead wires.
These two little girls were left intact. In Nabil’s photographs, they are in their nightdresses, one with a bow in her hair, their bodies perfectly engraved in the rubble of their homes, where they had been bombed to death, murdered, in their beds.

“We must make clear to the Germans that the wrong for which their leaders are on trial is not that they lost the war, but that they started it. And we must not allow ourselves to be drawn into a trial of the causes of the war, for our position is that no grievances or policies will justify resort to aggressive war. It is utterly renounced and condemned as an instrument of policy.”
– U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel L. Jackson, America’s senior representative at the 1945 Nuremberg war crimes trials, and the tribunal’s chief prosecutor.
The list of war crimes that the Bush administration has committed is growing. It is time that people and nations from all over the world rise up and demand that those guilty of war crimes be brought to trial.

Resident Bush invaded Iraq without U.N. backing, with the coalition of the killing. America suceeded in achieving ‘Rogue nation’ status. The indictment of the German Nazi leaders at the 1945-1949 Nuremberg War Crimes Trials was precisely for carrying out preemptive military strikes against neighboring countries. They were tried and convicted of “planning, preparation, initiation or waging of a war of aggression, or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances”. The Most Egregious War Crime Posted July 7, 2003 thepeoplesvoice.org By Schuyler Ebbets – According to an August 2002 report by the UN Sub Commission, the laws which are violated by the use of DU weapons include: the Conventional Weapons Convention of 1980; the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the Charter of the United Nations; the Genocide Convention; the Convention Against Torture; the four Geneva Conventions of 1949; and the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907, which specifically bans the deployment of ‘poison or poisoned weapons’, and ‘arms, projectiles or materials calculated to cause unnecessary suffering’.

Uranium Warheads May Leave Both Sides a Legacy of Death for Decades by Susanna Hecht – DU warheads are essentially dirty bombs — not very radioactive, but poisonous, and this is why there is an increasing global outcry against using DU in combat as tips for armor-piercing rounds as well as in artillery shells and Tomahawk missiles, among others.
The U.S. Using Weapons Of Mass Destruction In War On Iraq
The brand of democracy the U.S. is bringing to Iraq is turning the country into a toxic waste dump. Read “Death By Slow Burn”- How America Nukes Its Own Troops What ‘Support Our Troops’ Really Means By Amy Worthington – The Idaho Observer
Russian military experts estimate that in 1991 1000 metric tons of depleted uranium were left in Iraq. Tens of thousands of troops were exposed to Depleted Uranium or DU, a benign name for uranium-238, the waste product of nuclear reactors and weapons. DU is a bad marriage between two unsavory partners: the nuclear industry, which needed a home for nearly one billion tons of hazardous waste, and the U.S. military that desired cheap and effective munitions. They created DU by molding nuclear-waste tailings into bullets and bombs.
In addition to armour piercing anti-tank rounds, the U.S. is using A-10 strike aircraft that use depleted uranium rounds. This shows a callous disregard for not only innocent civilians for years to come but for U.S. and British troops that are on the ground fighting.
These troops will be breathing in aerosol radioactive air. This radioactivity is blowing all over Iraq as sure as the sandstorms blow there.
This is happening at a time when veterans benefits are being slashed in order to send more foreign aid to Israel. The government did a pretty good job covering up the gulf war syndrome from 1991 but has failed to learn a lesson from it.
These international treaties on weapons such as depleted uranium are written for a reason. They are written to prevent the cancers, birth defects and mysterious illnesses associated with radiation poisoning.
Here is an excerpt from the book Depleted Uranium, How the Pentagon Radiates Soldiers & Civilians with DU Weapons
How DU Shell Residues Poison Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia
During the last five years I have been able to carry out extensive studies in Iraq. Their results produced ample evidence to show that contact with DU ammunition has the following consequences, especially for children:
• A considerable increase in infectious diseases caused by most severe immunodeficiencies in a great part of the population;
• Frequent occurrence of massive herpes and zoster afflictions, also in children;
• AIDS-like syndromes;
• A hitherto unknown syndrome caused by renal and hepatic dysfunctions;
• Leukemia, aplastic anemia and malignant neoplasms;
• Congenital deformities caused by genetic defects, which are also to be found in animals.
The results of my studies show similarities to a clinical picture described recently by the term of the so-called Gulf War Syndrome in American and British soldiers and their children. The congenital deformities caused by genetic defects in American and Iraqi children are identical.- Prof. Dr. Siegwart-Horst Guenther.
The United Nations classifies these munitions as illegal weapons of mass destruction:
According to a August 2002 report by the UN subcommission, laws which are breached by the use of DU shells include: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the Charter of the United Nations; the Genocide Convention; the Convention Against Torture; the four Geneva Conventions of 1949; the Conventional Weapons Convention of 1980; and the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907, which expressly forbid employing ‘poison or poisoned weapons’ and ‘arms, projectiles or materials calculated to cause unnecessary suffering’. All of these laws are designed to spare civilians from unwarranted suffering in armed conflicts.
We know the Bush regime is not concerned about the affects of DU poisoning on the neighboring countries of Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia because they are the next targets of imperialistic conquest. Bush has already received his marching orders from Ariel Sharon to conquer those nations. [Their only hope now is to GET nuclear weapons which would deter the US from attacking them]
But the disregard for the health of even his own soldiers, that’s another thing. I guess this is to be expected from a leader of troops who himself went AWOL from the National Guard while trying to avoid military service in Vietnam. So while America is still treating 34% of it veterans from the first Persian Gulf War, it better be prepared for a whole new influx of patients from this one.

‘Dead bodies are everywhere’ March 22 2003 – Marine Cobra helicopter gunships firing Hellfire missiles swept in low from the south. Then the marine howitzers, with a range of 30 kilometers, opened a sustained barrage over the next eight hours. They were supported by US Navy aircraft which dropped 40,000 pounds of explosives and napalm, a US officer told the Herald. But a navy spokesman in Washington, Lieutenant Commander Danny Hernandez, denied that napalm – which was banned by a United Nations convention in 1980 – was used.
Chemical hypocrites by George Monbiot – The chemical weapons convention, promoted by George W’s father and ratified by the US in 1997, insists that “each state party undertakes not to use riot control agents as a method of warfare”. Teargas, pepper spray and other incapacitants may be legally used on your own territory for the purposes of policing. They may not be used in another country to control or defeat the enemy.
Bush approves use of tear gas in battlefield – Battlefield use of tear gas would violate the Chemical Weapons Convention, ratified by the United States in 1997, offend crucial allies including Britain, and hand Saddam Hussein a legal basis for using chemical weapons against the United States.
