68.4% of weapons sold to foreign powers are supplied by the United States

The business of death and destruction is booming for weapons manufacturers operating in the United States of America.

As reported in the New York Times, according to a new Congressional study, “the United States signed weapons agreements valued at $37.8 billion in 2008, or 68.4 percent of all business in the global arms bazaar.” This is 10-times more than their closest rival, Italy, at $3.7 billion.

Keep in mind that this boom in business is occurring during a global economic meltdown which has been compared to the Fall of Rome by the former Comptroller General of the United States.

For those corporations and individuals that are profiting from this increase in demand, this is great news, as long as they value their worth in dollars. For the average citizen of the United States, especially military personnel and their families, this is the worst news that they could have heard, especially since Obama decided to escalate the wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan, after all, it is US made weapons that are killing US soldiers, not to mention their NATO allies and the innocent victims caught in the line of fire.

As Bill Hicks would say, “Quit arming the fuck’n world Man!”

  1. Maybe those in bed who care not to think should begin to look at whats in their water and food. The dumb down chemicals are so ingrained in their bodies that they can’t begin to think that they are capable of thinking!

    Let alone all of the electronics and mezmorising media programing… it goes on and on…

    I guess those whom are capable of not being able to think in today’s world get what they deserve. Go back to bed is right when the revolutionary movement is happening right before their eyes and they “STILL DON’T CARE TO GET IT”

    Go Bill Go… maybe one in a hundred will hear your words and start “Thinking”…. else let those whom want to sleep stay asleep.

    There is no hope for many… but the one you touch on is mission accomplished!
