Mr. Horner has represented CEI as well as scientists and members of the U.S. House and Senate on matters of environmental policy in the federal courts including the Supreme Court. He writes for legal and industrial trade journals and online opinion pages. Mr. Horner is the author of two best-selling books: Red Hot Lies: How Global Warming Alarmists Use Threats, Fraud and Deception to Keep You Misinformed and The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and Environmentalism, which spent half of 2007 on the New York Times bestseller list. His latest book is Power Grab: How Obama’s Green Policies Will Steal Your Freedom and Bankrupt America.

  1. Spread the word near and far my fellow free range slaves. As to the notion of the anointed controlling the temperature of our homes, it is not actually possible with the gizmos they possess today. They all depend on your thermostat.

    All you do is trick your thermostat like I did after moving into an apartment where the landlord control how high the temperature was set. In the winter on very cold days I might need three ice cubes in a baggie taped to the thermostat to get that balmy tropical effect. Just hang a small electric blanket over the thermostat in the summer to reverse the process to cool your house more.

    Now if the rest of you free range slaves would just get busy and tell the others it will neutralize the oligarchy’s plans and allow the individual to control the temperature of their home. Naturally this information will cause even greater power usage but that’s what you get when you try to enslave people.

    So be like Paul Revere people and start riding the Net spreading the word… “The glo-balony-ists are coming! The glo-balony-ists are coming! Load up on ice, baggies and have an electric blanket on the ready near the thermostat!”
