(Politico) – The Obama administration’s crackdown on leaks to the press has snared a high-profile conviction of an FBI linguist, who was sentenced to 20 months in prison Monday after pleading guilty to giving classified information to a blogger.

The sentence for Shamai Leibowitz is likely to become the longest ever served by a government employee accused of passing national security secrets to a member of the media. His case represents only the third known conviction in U.S. history for a government official or contractor providing classified information to the press.

  1. Everybody , everywhere who has “classified” information should leak as much as they can at every opportunity.

    If it starts happening wholesale there’s very little this peckerwood can do about it

    Leak his documents, birth certificate, why he hasn’t got a law license anymore, etc. There while be a reward offered for the arrest and conviction of all those who use “national security” to commit treason.

    Let the leaks become a tsunami of a flood. Take action to wash away this treason from our land.

In the United States, misprision of treason is a federal offense, committed where someone who has knowledge of the commission of any treason against the United States, does not inform the President(don’t bother with him, he’s the one committing treason), a federal judge or State Governor or State judge (18 U.S.C. § 2382). It is punishable by a fine and up to 7 years in federal prison. It is also a crime punishable under the criminal laws of many states.

    It is committed by someone who knows a treason is being or is about to be committed but does not report it to a proper authority.

    Where a person knowing of the design meets with the others and hears them discourse of their traitorous designs and says or acts nothing; this is high treason in that party, for it is more than a bare concealment, which is misprision. But if a person not knowing of their design before, come into their company and hear their discourses, and say nothing, and never meet with them again at their consultations, that conduct is only misprision of high treason.

    Just watch who you report it to. Or you might end up “suicided”
