(PaulWatson) – Administration spokesman Robert Gibbs’ angry retort that left-wing critics of President Obama ought to be “drug tested” because they are “crazy” marks a crucial benchmark in the accelerating evisceration of Obama’s public support, even amongst liberals who, having exalted Obama as some kind of savior, are now realizing that he is merely a servant to the banking elite.

Gibbs’ meltdown occurred during an interview with The Hill newspaper, in which he slammed the “professional left” for criticizing Obama for failing to live up to his ideological promises.

“I hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested,” Gibbs said. “I mean, it’s crazy.”

While some of the criticism coming from the left is undoubtedly over side-issues like gay marriage or gays in the military, much of it centers around Obama’s continuation and indeed intensification of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as his failure to close Guantanamo Bay, in addition to his cosying up to Wall Street while abandoning Main Street as the economic decline worsens.

Obama’s Summer of Misery and Hardship Tour Hits the Road

(KurtNimmo) – Let’s put Lindsay Lohan’s fear of jail aside for a moment and turn to Obama’s Summer Recovery Tour 2010. Obama’s apparatchiks “will fan out across the country over the next few days to spread the message to voters about how effective their $787 billion recovery plan has been,” The Hill reported earlier this week. “Obama and the White House take comfort the economy is moving in the right direction. They point out that the economy has added jobs in six of the last seven months and stress that when Obama took office the economy was losing 750,000 jobs a month.”

Has it really? Less than a month ago Joe Bite Me said jobs have gone away and they are never coming back. Biden said “there’s no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession” and folks should get used to it. “We inherited a godawful mess,” he said and glibly added that there was “no way to regenerate $3 trillion that was lost. Not misplaced, lost.”

It wasn’t lost and Joe knows it. It was stolen. Trillions went directly to the banksters. They defiantly refused to tell Congress and the American people where it all went. In December of 2008, as the engineered Greatest Depression was gaining steam, the Federal Reserve refused a request by Bloomberg News to disclose the recipients of more than $2 trillion of “emergency loans” billed to future generations of American debt slaves.

MSM: Japan, Russia and U.S. warships to dock in S.F.

(SFChronicle) – San Francisco will host sailors from three different navies this weekend, including a port call by a U.S. cruiser, a Japanese training squadron and a rare visit by a Russian guided missile cruiser.

All the ships – except the cruiser USS Bunker Hill – will be open for public tours next week.

The first vessels to arrive will be three ships from the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force, as the Japanese navy is called. The three, led by the training vessel Kashima, are expected at the Golden Gate Bridge around 12:30 p.m. today. They will anchor in the bay and tie up Monday at Pier 27 on the Embarcadero. A welcome ceremony, open to the public, will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.
