Public Enemy Number One, The American Press – Stealing America’s Freedoms Like A Thief In The Night… – Gordon Duff

(VeteransVoice) – It’s 2010 and a few members of congress have noted that we have a corruption problem in Afghanistan.  Over a period of 9 years. $2.4 trillion dollars has been stolen with a dozen enquiries, dozens of reports, audits, all saying the same thing.  The “war on terror” was more “pickpocketing” and not so much “Osama bin Waldo.”  It’s 2010 and reports are trickling in that, just maybe, terrorist mastermind Osama has been dead for years and years.  More reports tell us, finally, that he never ran a terror organization at all.   For years, all those threats from a dead man.  What a pack of fools we are.

Remember Pat Tillman, the brave soldier, great athlete and hero?  The press told us he was killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan.  Then the rumors came out that it was “friendly fire.”  Now we know the truth or do we?  There is a movie about Tillman coming out.  How much will it tell?  Tillman, not just an athlete but a very bright guy, had picked up on the fact that Afghanistan was a total scam and was talking about it.  The administration ordered Tillman’s murder.  Pat Tillman was executed.  Enough high ranking members of the Bush administration and the military were involved in the cover up that, in any real democracy, not only jails would be filling but the execution dock as well.  Murder is a capitol crime.  Those involved in Tillman’s murder should be executed, no matter who they are.  We are talking about every conspirator and members of the press who helped “spin” the tale. (KurtNimmo) – Video: Afghans – U.S. Created and Funds Taliban

“It’s near-impossible to find anyone in Afghanistan who doesn’t believe the US are funding the Taliban: and it’s the highly educated Afghan professionals, those employed by ISAF, USAID, international media organizations – and even advising US diplomats – who seem the most convinced,” reports the Guardian today. “The US has an interest in prolonging the conflict so as to stay in Afghanistan for the long term,” said one Afghan.

It does not take a lot of research to prove the Taliban — and al-Qaeda — were fabricated by the CIA in league with Pakistani and Saudi Arabian intelligence. Continue reading

New target of rights erosions: U.S. citizens – Glenn Greenwald

A primary reason Bush and Cheney succeeded in their radical erosion of core liberties is because they focused their assault on non-citizens with foreign-sounding names, casting the appearance that none of what they were doing would ever affect the average American.  There were several exceptions to that tactic — the due-process-free imprisonment of Americans Yaser Hamdi and Jose Padilla, the abuse of the “material witness” statute to detain American Muslims, the eavesdropping on Americans’ communications without warrants — but the vast bulk of the abuses were aimed at non-citizens.  That is now clearly changing. (Redress) – Who is Bombing in Iraq? Are the bombers Al-Qaeda, the CIA or Israel?

Christopher King argues that it is likely that the American CIA – or Israel acting on its behalf – is responsible for recent atrocities in Iraq, in order to extend and consolidate the occupation, just as it is probable that the Times Square bomber was, wittingly or otherwise, acting for the CIA or Israel, to justify the US military intervention in South Asia. (GlobalResearch) – “War without Borders”: Obama’s “Long War” – Michel Chossudovsky

The concept of the “long war” has characterised military doctrine since the end of World War II. The broader objective of global military dominance in support of an imperial project was first formulated under the Truman administration in the late 1940s at the outset of the Cold War.

The 2000 Project for the New American Century (PNAC), which was the backbone of the NeoCon’s agenda  was predicated on “waging a war without borders”.  The PNAC’s declared objectives was to  “fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theater wars” in different regions of the World as well  perform the so-called military “constabulary” duties “associated with shaping the security environment in critical regions”. Global constabulary implies a Worldwide process of military policing and interventionism. (Project for a New American Century, Rebuilding Americas Defenses.pdf, September 2000) Continue reading

(StrategicCultureFoundation) – Mounting Tensions and Political Confrontation on the Korean Peninsula

The Pyeongtack naval base near Seoul played host a few days ago to a maritime memorial ceremony for and the funeral of 46 sailors of South Korea’s Cheonan corvette, which sank in unclear circumstances when on a patrol mission in the Yellow Sea on March 26th 2010. The 1,200 – tonne corvette exploded for no obvious reason, broke in two and sank in a matter of minutes, which is quite unusual for this class of ship. 46 crewmembers of the 104-strong crew died in what proved the country’s biggest maritime disaster ever since the Republic of Korea emerged from Korea’s division into two political entities in 1948. The issue of what caused the Cheonan to sink and who is to blame for the disaster is still in the limelight. Read More Here
