Video: Watch This Bizarre Interview, Where Swedish Prosecutors Claim Rape Charge Against Wikileaks Founder Was Normal Procedure

(BusinessInsider) – Are you confused about this weekend’s bizarre incident which saw WIkileaks founder Julian Assange get charged with rape in Sweden, only to have the charges revoked a few hours later?

You should be, because it makes no sense whatsoever.

And this Al-Jazeera interview (via @midasoracle) with a spokesperson from the Swedish prosecutor’s office won’t help at all. In fact, it will only make you more suspicious, as the spokesperson tries to claim that no mistakes were made, and that the revocation of the charges were normal procedure, resulting from more information coming to light.

Liz Cheney calls on Obama to shut down WikiLeaks

Facebook Deletes “Illegal” WikiLeaks Page Along with 30,000 Friends

Whistleblower website Wikileaks claims it has had its Facebook page deleted.

According to the WikiLeaks Twitter account, the website had more than 30,000 fans at the time it was deleted.

The accompanying note read the page had been disabled because it “promotes illegal acts”.

However, another page claiming to be the official WikiLeaks page remains on Facebook, with some 500+ fans.

That page says at the time of its launch on April 13, that it was “waiting for the fans to be migrated from other pages”.
