(PaulWatson) – In an interview with Alan Colmes, Ron Paul points out that it was the government who enforced segregation laws, not his son Rand Paul, who is being branded a racist by the attack dog media for simply re-affirming the fact that even unpopular aspects of the First Amendment must be protected for it to stand for anything.

As we have exhaustively documented, the corporate media was intent on manufacturing a contrived race baiting scandal around Rand Paul even before the Civil Rights Act argument cropped up. In the immediate aftermath of his crushing defeat of establishment neo-con Trey Grayson, the media attempted to characterize the Kentucky primary winner as a racist elitist simply because he held his victory celebration at a country club.

Rand Paul, Civil Rights, and More Liberal Hypocrisy on Race

(CampaignForLiberty) – I recently wrote two articles in which I criticized liberals for being two-faced and hypocritical when it comes to racial issues. The articles, which concerned the minimum wage, a longtime favorite government program among liberals whose negative effects fall disproportionately on blacks, were entitled “Why Do Daily Kos and Alternet Favor a Racist Government Program?” and “Free Teenagers: Repeal the Minimum Wage.”

Of course, I could also have written an article pointing out the decades-long liberal support of the drug war, another vicious government program whose adverse consequences have long fallen disproportionately on blacks and Hispanics. See, for example, this list of articles.

Thus, it’s not a coincidence that liberal icon Barack Obama, a drug user himself (he smoked dope and snorted cocaine when he was young and smokes tobacco today) and his Democratically controlled Congress are not only not ending the drug war but instead are ramping it up, even encouraging the Mexican government’s use of the military to wage the drug war in Mexico.

Rand Paul and the Special Relationship with Israel

(KurtNimmo) –  I defended Rand Paul when the Democrat operative Rachel Maddow tried to take him to the woodshed over this remarks about the Civil Rights Act (remarks he has in part retracted in response to the collective lib howl amplified over the corporate media megaphone). Paul said that while he abhors racism the law violates the property rights of the individual.

Paul was spot on about that.

Paul has made other comments, however, that deserve attention. It appears Paul is an Israel cheerleader not much different than the neocons who have dogged him since he announced his bid for a Senate seat. As unfair as that may seem, please bear with me and keep reading.

Although America successfully seceded from the British Empire in 1776, today, more than 200 years later, it is in no way “independent.” Its many dependencies include its reliance on debt to finance its operations; it looks to foreign manufacturers to provide basic goods; it is at the mercy of oil sheiks for its energy needs; and, it depends on global and regional organizations like the United Nations, NATO, and other entangling alliances to conduct diplomacy.

The Trial of the Millennium: A Prescript

This is a piece of futurist, speculative fiction, mixed in with the concerns and events of the present day. The real life personages in this piece are my great heroes. My admiration for their work is part of the reason for why I chose to write this. Okay, not all of them are my heroes. There is one name that doesn’t excite me when I hear it. RAND advises pharmaceutical company on strategies in vaccinating low-income students

The pieces of the pandemic puzzle are coming together as the H1N1 Swine Flu hysteria is reaching new heights.  A largely uncovered white paper published by RAND Corporation in March of 2009, sponsored by pharmaceutical giant Sanofi Pasteur, identifies parental consent laws, medical homes, and lack of access to medical records as main barriers “for immunizing low-income adolescents.” The solution proposed to Sanofi Pasteur? Turn schools into a vaccine wonderland.

Since the time The United States of America was established its independence almost 235 years ago, the way that citizens view their government has changed significantly. Initially the government was intended to serve the people; whereas, in modern times, a large majority of Americans accept the role of government as a force that we have no control over accept once every 4 years when we elect a president. Otherwise, most Americans pass through their everyday lives watching the news and the decisions of their elected officials without making any sort of attempt to influence the actions of their elected officials — who were put in place in order to serve us, the people.
