(ActivistPost) – The objectivism of the scientific method seems to have been hijacked by corporations who often pay for scientists to support their products, as well as politicians who move through the revolving door between the private and public sector.  Even worse is that sometimes the consumer protection agencies themselves are complicit.

The trust placed by consumers in scientific studies and Federal oversight committees has been violated in service to profit so that products are allowed to enter the marketplace with reduced safety standards.   The synthetic chemicals we encounter on a daily basis in our food, water, and environment are increasingly shown to be disastrous to our physical and mental well-being.  Volumes can be written — indeed have been written — by experts in both mainstream and alternative medicine who have documented the sleight of hand used to hoodwink consumers and threaten our health.  The categories below are worth deeper investigation as prime examples of what we might face as a species if this chemical bombardment continues.

MSM: Climate change ‘will increase Mexico-US migration’

(BBC) – A warming climate could see millions of adult Mexicans migrate to the US as rising temperatures cause a drop in crop yields, according to a study by researchers at Princeton University.

For every 10% of lost crop yields in Mexico, another 2% of Mexicans are likely to leave their country, the study says.

The research draws a clear connection between climate change and immigration – two heavily debated issues in the US.

It says warming may bring between 1.4m and 6.7m Mexicans to the US by 2080. Read More Here

Ron Paul: On the Bloated Intelligence Bureaucracy

(C4L) – I have often spoken about the excessive size of government, and most recently how waste and inefficiency needs to be eliminated from our military budget. Our foreign policy is not only bankrupting us, but actively creating and antagonizing enemies of the United States, and compromising our national security. Spending more and adding more programs and initiatives does not improve things for us; it makes them much much worse. This applies to more than just the military budget.

Recently the Washington Post ran an extensive report by Dana Priest and William M. Arkin on the bloated intelligence community. They found that an estimated 854,000 people hold top-secret security clearances. Just what are all these people up to? By my calculation this is about 11,000 intelligence workers per al Qaeda member in Afghanistan. This also begs the question — if close to 1 million people are authorized to know top secrets, how closely guarded are these secrets?

New York Times Crawled to Obama for Instructions on Wikileaks Docs

(KurtNimmo) – It is not news that the corporate media is a lapdog for the government. It disseminates propaganda, half-truths, and spin for the government. This became apparent prior to the “leak” of classified documents by Wikileaks earlier in the week.

According to Yahoo’s Michael Calderone, the Obama administration was “very pleased with how the New York Times dealt with its semi-exclusive access to the documents,” writes Alex Pareene for Salon. “Times Washington bureau chief Dean Baquet took reporters Mark Mazzetti and Eric Schmitt to the White House last week to brief the administration on what they planned on publishing.

(Infowars) – If anyone would have predicted a few years back that I would be writing an article like this, I would have said, “You are off the wall!” But here I am—a journalist who wrote for newspapers in the metropolitan Washington, DC area—pounding out an article that certainly will garner many gasps of disbelief plus resounding shouts of incredulity, e.g., “How dare you!” “Where did you get that ‘information’?”
