Homeland Security for Whom?

(LewRockwell) – The Washington Post has published a splashy exposé about the mammoth “homeland security” intelligence empire that now burdens the United States, financially and ideologically.

As usual, however, there is no real historical context. And that lack of context is part of the story – not just the current dimensions of the empire.

I wrote the following article for Penthouse in the summer of 2003. It was reprinted by CounterPunch later that summer.

At the time I said: “This homeland security boondoggle is the biggest reorganization of the U.S. government in 50 years. It might even bankrupt the country and, perhaps intentionally, throw it into a Depression. That remains to be seen. What is certain is that at a cost of $50 billion in taxpayer’s money, the homeland security infrastructure will provide Bush with 170,000 political cadres, and the internal security he needs to assure the continuity of his political power indefinitely. Except for providing Bush with political internal security, there is no need for the Department of Homeland Security; it is a Trojan Horse through which Bush will unleash his ideological storm troopers and exploit his ill-gotten power to achieve permanent political dominance.” Continue reading

Another Senate Charade – Matt Taibbi

(RollingStone) – This note comes courtesy of my friend David Sirota out in Colorado. This is a classic example of how the Senate works. If the public understood better how rigged this game is, and how few issues are actually left to an honest vote in the legislature, I’m pretty sure the pitchfork factor would be twice even what it is now.

The short version of this story: Bernie Sanders had put forth a proposal in the Senate to put a 15 percent cap on credit-card interest. Who isn’t in favor of this kind of legislation? The only difference between credit card companies and loan sharks at this point is that you can choose to not patronize a loan shark. As an adult professional in this country one has to have a credit card – it’s impossible to rent a car, buy a hotel room, shop online or do countless other things without one.

But all the credit card companies use the same insane formulae based on FICO scores to charge exorbitant interest rates for anyone who slips up – and they don’t exactly make it easy to not slip up. (I’m doing research on this subject so anyone who has a particularly egregious story about being ripped off by credit card companies, please write in). Almost everyone has horror stories about consumer credit and my guess is that if put to a national referendum, something like the Sanders 15% cap would pass pretty easily. Continue reading

France, Germany, Estonia, Belarus, Brazil, India, Israel, Italy, Qatar, South Korea, and South Africa are also involved in the effort. Continue reading

Video: The insider – chemtrails KC-10 sprayer air to air – The proof

A pilot films a chemical plane from his cockpit: the video shows an aircraft that spreads chemtrails over Canada from the nozzles. The footage is the irrefutable proof of a chemical and clandestine operation that a bold pilot offers to the public in order to demonstrate that chemtrails are real. The “smoke” we can see is neither a fuel dumping nor a contrail. The chemtrails, in fact, is iridescent too. Continue reading

Shocking new report details growing US police state

(Boston) – The top-secret world the government created in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, has become so large, so unwieldy, and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it, or exactly how many agencies do the same work.

These are some of the findings of a two-year investigation by The Washington Post that discovered what amounts to an alternative geography of the United States, a Top Secret America hidden from public view and lacking in thorough oversight. After nine years of unprecedented spending and growth, the result is that the system put in place to keep the United States safe is so massive that its effectiveness is impossible to determine.

Other findings include: Read More Here

Video: Alex Jones Police State Report – Rosamaria: Justice for Dunkin’ Dog!!!

The Tragedy

On July 4th I was driving alone with my service dog of almost 8 years of age, Dunkin’, in the rear seat towards the middle. I was pulled over on I-17 after being tailed for about one mile. The cop was very close to the rental car I was driving which was a gray Toyota corolla. The vehicle was due back on Sunday and I had planned on returning it, then utilizing the airport shuttle to catch my early flight back to New York’s La Guardia airport with Dunkin as my travel companion.

I pulled over to a safe spot on the shoulder of the road and the cop opened the door and drew out a shot gun. He actually AIMED it at me. I could see his eye aiming and it made no sense. I was shouted at and told to keep my hands where he can see them. This seemed very strange and not at all common for being pulled over. I could hear shot gun cocked and I realized that something was not right. I obeyed his shouts to keep my hands up and I allowed Dunkin to continue sleeping in order to keep us both calm. I was ordered to get out of the car, walk backwards without looking, and was very confused… I was going further and further away from Dunkin’. Continue reading

Alex talks with Glenn Spencer, an activist who advocates greater vigilance in securing the United States–Mexico border against illegal immigration. Spencer is the founder of the American Border Patrol group based in Sierra Vista, Arizona. American Border Patrol is a private, non-governmental, organization with the stated purpose of informing Americans about the border. It is known for using small, radio-controlled aircraft and ground sensing equipment to track illegal immigrants, and then relaying that information to the U.S. Border Patrol. Spencer also has assisted with the Minuteman Project and also has produced two documentary videos: Immigration: Threatening the Bonds of Our Union and Conquest of Aztlan. Continue reading

The Roaring Voice Of The Truth Movement Cannot Be Silenced Through Censorship

(Infowars) – The censorship of the Obama Deception awoke the sleeping giant that is the patriot movement. Google has made a very large statement by reinstating The Obama Deception, after the film was mysteriously pulled along with other top documentary films created by Alex Jones. Not only is this the first time that the mega-corporation has restored a political video of such nature on Youtube, but the restoration also came after Google’s search engines were blasted with hard-hitting search topics. The CLEAR Act of Another Federal Land Grab – Cassandra Anderson

(Infowars) – U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert (R-TX) addressed Congress on July 15th to report the Natural Resources Committee’s passage of HR 3534, the Consolidated Land, Energy and Aquatic Resources Act (CLEAR Act) of 2009. Congressman Gohmert said that the bill was to “deal with the disaster in the Gulf of Mexico” but it contains plans for the federal government to acquire land and was introduced in 2009.

The CLEAR Act is ambiguous so if the bill is passed, federal agencies will determine how it is implemented and how the land will be used. Continue reading

DC Declares War On States – Chuck Baldwin

(BaldwinLive) – Among the limited duties of the US Government enumerated in the federal Constitution is Article. IV. Section. 4. “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion.” However, for several decades now, the federal government in Washington, D.C., has shown great ambition and propensity to engage in activities to which it was never authorized, and to ignore those responsibilities with which it is specifically charged. The responsibility of the federal government to protect each State against invasion is a classic example of the latter. Continue reading

False Flag Cyber Attack Could Takedown The Internet

(SteveWatson) –  An increasing clamour to restrict and control the internet on behalf of the government, the Pentagon, the intelligence community and their private corporate arms, could result in a staged cyber attack being used as justification.

Over recent months we have seen a great increase in media coverage of inflated fears over a possible “electronic Pearl Harbor” event, with reports claiming that the U.S. could be “felled within 15 minutes”.

Vastly over-hyped (and in some cases completely asinine) claims that the power grids and other key infrastructure such as rail networks and water sources are wired up to the public internet have permeated such coverage. Continue reading

Barbara Boxer In The Fight Of Her Political Life

By Katherine Smith, PhD

“Barbara Boxer blasted her Republican opponent’s record (Carly Fiorina) on job creation Tuesday, as both campaigns continued to spar over the best way to fix the economy in a state with one of the nation’s highest unemployment rates.”

Huh. Is it possible Barbara doesn’t read the New York Times?

On May 31, 2009 David E. Sanger exposed The 31-Year-Old in Charge of Dismantling G.M who is behind the economic collapse and it’s none other than the 44th POTUS, Barack Obama.

“Brian Deese, special assistant to president Obama for economic policy, in his first government position, shuffles back and forth from the West Wing to the Treasury Department rewriting the rules of American “capitalism” as he dismantles the US [Housing,] Automobile Industry [and the American Dream].” David E. Sanger

Deese’s First Rule: Withdraw Credit and Liquidity: Causing spending to fall even further, forcing companies to cut back on inventory and staff – Creating even more unemployment…There are now 39 million Americans no longer living in 18,000,000 houses who are no longer working or looking for work. And that’s before the recently announced “planned three-year budget freeze on government discretionary spending.”

So if you think voting for Boxer or Fiorina is going to make a difference I suggest you join the 3,201,420 people who viewed JibJab’s – Time for Some Campaignin’.

Citizens gather from both far and near, for a ritual we practice every four years. When we promise you anything you wanna hear. To win the crown we’re chasing! We spend billions of dollars to make our points clear. To get you to step and cast your vote here, then we spin you around and poke you in the rear. Yes it’s Time for Some Campaignin’.

The Powers That Be (TPTB, a non-conspiracy acronym [1]) are behind Boxer, Fiorina, Biden and, of course, the candidate for change, Barack Hussein Obama. Continue reading

(AmericaBlog) – BP Photoshops Fake Photo of Crisis Command Center, Posts on Main BP Site

‘The photo contains data suggesting it was taken in 2001, not July of 2010 as claimed on BP’s Web site. That would suggest, at least one possibility is, that BP took an old photo and Photoshopped new pictures of the oil spill over it, to make it look “new.” More on this at the end of the post.

I guess if you’re doing fake crisis response, you might as well fake a photo of the crisis response center. Why do they need a fake photo at all? Don’t they have a real crisis response center they could have used?’ Read More Here

(JohnKaminski) – They’re still lying about the oil disaster

Simmons, creator of an investment bank catering to oil companies, told radio host Ian Masters that the real problem continuing to gush oil into the Gulf was not the 6-inch “riser” that apparently has been capped amid much TV hoopla, but that an open hole or cauldron perhaps up to 10 miles distant from where British Petroleum’s cameras are focused which continues to spew 120,000 BARRELS per day, and that BP’s much publicized effort to drill relief wells in what the company says is an effort to stop the flow of oil is nothing but a cynical publicity stunt. I have developed an incredibly thick skin and if I rankle, it’s because I think time is running out to halt the disastrous trajectory this planet (via the US Military Corporate Complex) is on. I promise that I am not writing this because I am holding protests and no one is coming—these thoughts have been percolating in me for months now.
